The Korea Communications Standards Commission has been established in order to ensure public value and fairness in the content of the broadcasts, and to promote the sound culture in the field of communications and creating a communications environment of proper usage under ¡žAct on the Establishment and Operation of the Korea Communications Commission¡¹Article 18

As the result, we have constanly succeeded in cutting down illegal and harmful information from the internet and contributed to a safe environment for netizens. Also, we cooperate with Korean National Police Agency, the Commission on Youth Protection, NGOs and ISPs (Internet Service Providers) to prevent adverse effects of the Internet

Since Illegal & Harmful information Report Center was established in August, 1992 as "Harmful Information Report Center", the Center have received reports related to harmful information from 700 phones services and PC communication services. With popularization of the Internet. Since Illegal & Harmful Information Report Center has been dealing with illegal and harmful information circulating through the Internet.
