Our Mission
To encourage co-operation between all parties in an effort to create a safe Internet environment in each country, acting within the framework of their authorities, interests and responsibilities, each party will collaborate on promoting safe internet usage and its importance among public as well as industry.
Further idea sharing on policies, legal measures, and other measures including association with other relevant organization that can be effective in promoting safer Internet environment
Collaboration in enhancing awareness of negative aspects of the Internet at the international level
Sharing substantial information of harmful materials available in the Internet and databases in programs like newsgroup in order to prevent circulation of such information
Organizing a cooperative network beyond national boarders by launching a hotline system between parties, called 'APIH(Asia Pacific Internet Hotline Network)', to counteract the flow of harmful contents from overseas
Creating a forward looking, open, democratic Asia Pacific partnership which will attract the trust of governments, the other Asia Pacific Institutions, law enforcements, the Internet industry, and the public in order to ensure that the hotline network is implemented in an efficient, transparent and accountable manner.
