Origin of APIH
APIH standing for 'Asia-Pacific Internet Hotline Network' exists to facilitate co-operation between Internet Hotline Providers in the Asia-Pacific Area.
Considering that there has been a variety of negative and harmful effects under the development of Information Communication Technology chiefly of the rapid dissemination of the Internet. Under the circumstance, the most obvious negative aspects have been the proliferation of sexually explicit and violent information, which can engender in appropriate influence particularly on minors.
Considering Also the distinct features of the Internet, national boundaries can not be of limits in accessing overseas contents;
Recognizing, therefore, the necessity of manual co-operation between international partners for protecting internet users from harmful contents;
Hoping to work together to develope cooperative mechanism to combat harmful contents;
Desiring to enhance collaborative relationship;
